After serving high-net-worth clients in the private wealth division on Wall Street, Yale Capital’s principals organized as a registered investment advisor bringing together 75 years of experience. Why? In the course of our tenure at major banks and brokerage firms, we concluded that a client’s best interests could be better met by independent advisors.

Prior to serving in major investment banks, Yale Capital’s chairman graduated with his MBA from Yale University’s School of Management. Under the tutelage of Yale University’s Professor Emeritus Roger Ibbotson, he learned practical portfolio management techniques that help facilitate tax and fee efficiency, and that achieve sound asset allocation. Yale University’s endowment manager, David Swensen, also inspired Yale Capital’s approach.

With sound theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in the industry, Yale Capital was founded to offer risk-adjusted, university endowment style investing to individuals and families — people who may otherwise pay the costly hidden fees and unnecessary taxes of Wall Street’s commission-driven portfolios.

What we do.

Yale Capital is an independent, registered investment advisor. We provide wealth and risk management, turn-key cash management and family office services, in addition to financial education for each generation of your family. Yale Capital provides clear and measured strategies for generating income, while managing the increasingly complex task of defending your wealth in uncertain times. Furthermore, we provide clients with to-the-point, transparent, and verifiable reports. We apply an academically supported, tax-efficient, and risk-optimized approach.

Who do we work for?

Yale Capital works with investors who have a minimum of $10 million in investable assets. Our client engagements often begin following a large financial event, such as the sale or IPO of a business.

In the period following the sale of a firm, you are likely being called by scores of advisors scrambling for your business. We understand the consideration process should be a deeply measured one, to ensure you find the right fit for your family.

Where are your accounts held?

Yale Capital has selected Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (“Schwab”) as primary custodian for our clients’ accounts. Schwab Advisor Services, which includes the custody, trading and support services of Schwab, is the leading provider of those services to independent investment advisors. As a registered broker-dealer and a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), Schwab is subject to regulations intended to protect assets held in brokerage accounts maintained at Schwab1.
